Temperatures below 30°C and high relative humidity at night compared to daytime are favourable conditions for the occurrence of this disease.
Damage Symptoms:
White to greyish powdery spots appear on the underside of leaves, while the corresponding upper side develops yellowish lesions with brown necrotic centres.
Infected leaves curl up and drop prematurely.
Severe infection results in dieback of branches, stunting of plants, and fruit drop.
Preventive Measures:
Maintain proper spacing between plants.
Avoid overhead irrigation.
Control Measures:
Spray Hexaconazole at 0.05% or Carbendazim at 0.1%.
