Cool weather and high humidity provide favourable conditions for the occurrence of this disease.
Damage Symptoms:
Powdery mildew typically affects the older leaves and stems of the plant. A white, powdery growth appears on both the upper and lower surfaces of the leaves.
As the disease progresses, the affected okra leaves turn yellow and eventually dry out.
In cases of severe infection, the size and quality of the fruit are affected.
Preventive Measures:
Spray Trichoderma Viride.
Control Measures:
Spray wettable sulphur at 0.3% or Dinocap at 0.1%.
